Position: Summer Internship 2024 - Architecture / Urban Design / Landscape

UltraBarrio invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for its annual summer internship. The internship is a 10-week commitment to a design culture focused on a range of project types from urban design, architecture, parks, and community engagement strategies.

Throughout the internship, you will be part of a mentored process and be part of a professional design team. You will work together with experienced designers, and the UB partners. The role will connect the studio’s work, strategies, and process of design. The opportunity is currently available in Houston’s East End office. Successful candidates should:

• be open, positive, and creative;

• have strong aesthetic skills in design and graphic representation;

• be open to experimental representational processes;

• have high competencies in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Autocad;

• have model making and 3d printing skills;

• be pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree in architecture or equivalent.
