South Houston

A Livable Centers Study (In Progress)

South Houston Livable Centers Study is the first major visionary plan for the community. This transportation focused study in progress will promote a healthy lifestyle by looking at sidewalks, trails, streets, and transit connections to provide access to parks, retail, and housing.

The kick-off public meeting for South Houston Livable Centers Study provided our team with valuable community input to move forward with. UltraBarrio designed the interactive activities and facilitated the kick off with Huitt-Zollars. As the next step in the process - to describe opportunities for the South Houston Livable Centers Task Force - UltraBarrio created spherical projections of key zones to ‘open up’ corridors in order to visualize multiple scales of connections.
